The wood pellets are small cylinders made by pressing wood at high temperatures. Raw material is natural wood as a by-product from the industry of primary processing of the wood (sawdust, wood chips and debarked logs), although some times it can also be used wood from felling of forests, previously stripped of bark.
Then it is grinded and force dried using a low temperature drying belt to keep intact to the maximum the nature of the wood. To finish the process it is pressed in their characteristic cylindrical shape.
They are 6 mm in diameter and with a variable length (around 3 cm). To press them, no additives are added since the wood lignin acts as a binder and gives them the characteristic bright coated aspect. The final result is a very dense material with a very low humidity.
Raw material: Natural wood 100%, from fellings of trees and by-products of the wood primary processing (chips, sawdust, shavings, logs, etc.)
- 6 mm diameter
- Density: 650-700 kg/m3
- I.C.V. (Inferior calorific value) > 18 Mj/kg
- Ashes < 0,5%
- Humidity < 10%
- Erosion < 2,3%
- Easy handling in bags with double handle
- It is a natural product, with a local origin and renewable
- Carbon neutral emissions
- Clean and easy transport, distribution and storage
- They offer a great comfort in heating
- Stable in times of crisis
Wood pellets have a high calorific power and their combustion yields carbon neutral emissions. The ash produced can be even used as a valuable fertilizer.
Wood, natural and renewable resource, it's the ideal and reliable solution for fuel supply for heating in the long term. While the trees are growing they absorb CO2 from the air, which is later liberated during the combustion, exactly in the same proportion. Hence, CO2 emissions during the combustion are not higher than those emissions that would be produced in the process of natural decaying of the trees in the forest. Therefore the sensible equilibrium cycle of the CO2 in the atmosphere is not disturbed.
Quality is important
Use only wood pellets complying with the manufacture regulations O-Nor DINplus or Enplus.
We are currently in the process of certification under the Enplus regulation, although we can provide analysis of our product demonstrating that it meets the specifications of the regulation.
It is time to save money, think about the costs...
During the last years, the prize of wood pellets has remained cheaper on average compared to other natural fuels and what's more important, the price of pellets is still much cheaper if compared to the prices of diesel and natural gas. Using pellets for heating saves you money and avoids some nasty surprise.
